How to Make a Wedding Invitation Video Without Designing It
You can send a wedding invitation video without opening an editor. Here is what to hand a designer, what to leave for the caption, and what to do while wedding designs are still being added.

A wedding invitation video fails in two predictable ways. Someone spends a week inside an editor and still ships a landscape file. Or someone pastes a full three-day schedule into forty seconds and the type becomes unreadable. You can avoid both by refusing to design it yourself and by keeping the schedule out of the video.
This is a GiftFeels guide. WishCuts is the related studio where a designer builds the file. The wedding page guests reopen lives here, at create a wedding invitation.
What you are handing over
You are not hiring a film crew. You are handing a short list to someone who already has the motion design.
- Names, spelled the way the card should read, including both families if they appear
- The line for who is inviting, if it is not the couple alone
- Date, with the month in words
- City or venue name, short
- One or two photographs that are bright enough to crop
- The closing line, if you want one
That is the brief. The designer sets it into a vertical video. You watch a preview. You ask for the spelling or the crop to change. You send the file.
Looking for a professionally designed video invitation? WishCuts creates personalized invitation videos where a designer takes your names, date, photos, and event details and prepares the final video for you.
What you should not put in the video
Function-by-function timing, the menu, the hotel block, and the RSVP rules. Those change, and they need to be read twice. They belong in the caption and on a page.
A video that tries to be the wedding website becomes a list nobody finishes. A video that is only the names and the date gets forwarded.
Check what is actually live
WishCuts is honest on its own homepage about this. Birthdays are the deep catalog. Wedding, engagement, reception, sangeet, mehendi, and haldi are marked soon as we write this. Anniversary and wish designs are a smaller live set.
So the practical order is:
- Open wishcuts.com and watch previews.
- Order only a design that plays, not a category label.
- If the wedding set is still marked soon, do not promise a specific style to the family.
- Send the GiftFeels wedding invitation page now if guests already need the link. Add the video when a design you like is up.
The price, when you do order, is the studio price: $9 a design, listed down from $20, about 12–24 hours, $10 more for express. Details are in how much a custom video invitation costs and on the WishCuts page.
A wedding video that still feels like a wedding
Forty seconds, vertical, mute-readable.
- First screen: the couple's names
- Second: "you are invited," or the parents' names if they are the hosts
- Third: day, date, city
- Last: one photograph
No logo sting at the start. No quote that pushes the date past the point where people drop off. The feeling comes from the design you picked and from the photograph, not from more sentences.
The brief to copy into the order
Write it in a note before you open the form, so you are not inventing spellings in a small box.
- Couple, as it should read: "Aanya Shah and Vihaan Mehta"
- Hosts, if they appear: "Together with their families"
- Date: "Saturday, 14 March 2026"
- Time, only if it fits in large type: "11 in the morning"
- Place, short: "Udaipur"
- Photo: one portrait that is sharp when you zoom the faces
- Line you will not accept if it is wrong: the spelling of both surnames
If a name can be written two ways, pick one and use it in the video, the caption, and the page. Mixed spellings read as carelessness, even when both are "correct" in the family.
Who should watch the preview
Not only the person who placed the order. Send the preview to one person from each family and ask them to read the names out loud. They will catch the letter you have stopped seeing. Give them one job: spelling, date, and whether the photo crop cuts a face. Opinions about the music can wait. A preview dies in a group chat of twelve relatives who all want a different song.
On WishCuts the change goes back to the designer who built that file. Use that pass for facts. "The second name needs two a's" is a useful note. "Can it feel more royal" is not, unless you can point at a design you already previewed and preferred.
A caption you can paste
Aanya and Vihaan Saturday, 14 March 2026 Ceremony at the City Palace gardens, Udaipur The full note, the map, and how to reply: [your page link] Please answer on the page so we do not lose replies in this chat.
Change the facts. Keep the shape: names, date, one line of place, the link, and where to reply. The video does the greeting. The caption does the logistics.
Paper, video, and the page
Some families still print. The video does not cancel that. Think of three objects with three jobs.
- Paper, for the people who will keep it in a drawer
- The video, for the WhatsApp groups that will never open an envelope
- The page, for the address and the plan, which both of the others are bad at storing
You can skip paper if everyone you are inviting already lives in the chat. You should not skip the page if anyone has to travel.
Two families, one frame
When both families host, the video still only has room for a few lines. Decide the order before you brief anyone. A readable order is the couple's names first, then a short host line, then the date. Parents' full names, if they must appear, belong on the page, where a guest can read them slowly. Four long names in the opening frame makes every name smaller, and smaller type is the first thing WhatsApp compression destroys.
If the invitation needs two languages, do not stack both scripts in the video at the same size. Use the language that WhatsApp group actually reads for the film. Put the second language on the page. Two scripts fighting for forty seconds is how the date gets missed.
Times across a wedding week belong in a list people can scan. Video is a poor place for lists. Write them as separate lines in the caption or on the page: mehendi, sangeet, ceremony, reception, each with a day and a clock time. If a time is not fixed, leave it off. A wrong time inside a file you already sent is harder to retract than a wrong time on a page you can still edit.
How to send it to a family group
Attach the MP4 as a video. Under it, write the venue, the time, and the link to the page. Ask for a reply in that same thread or on the page, and say which. Send it to yourself first and watch once with the sound off.
The file settings and the mistakes WhatsApp makes with landscape video are in how to create a video invitation for WhatsApp. When to use the video and when to use the page is in video invitations vs digital invitation cards.
You do not need to become a designer to send something that looks cared for. You need a clear brief, a preview you actually watch, and a page that still has the address on the morning of the wedding.

FAQ
Can I get a wedding invitation video without editing it myself?
Yes. You choose a design, send the names, date, venue, and photos, and a designer exports the file. On WishCuts that service is live for the designs currently in the catalog. Several wedding-week categories are marked as coming, so preview a real design before you order.
What should a wedding invitation video include?
The couple's names, who is inviting, the date with the month written out, and the city. Put the full address, function times, and RSVP in the WhatsApp caption or on a page. A short video cannot hold a three-day schedule in type large enough to read.
How do guests receive it?
You send the MP4 in WhatsApp as a video, with the page link in the caption. Guests press play in the chat. They do not install an app.
Order the video, keep the page
WishCuts sets a designer on the invitation video. A GiftFeels wedding page holds the map, the functions, and the link guests reopen.
